What the green Verified badge actually means
One badge, one meaning: we checked this business is who it says it is. Here’s exactly how that works — and what it never means.
On JustFindMe a business is one of three things: unclaimed, claimed, or verified. That’s the whole public system. No hidden scores, no rankings dressed up as trust. The green Verified badge means one thing — the business proved its identity to us — and nothing else.
How a business verifies
There are five accepted paths: an NZBN, a GST number, a company number, a driver licence paired with a utility bill, or an in-person check. We never publish which one was used. A sole trader with a licence and a power bill gets exactly the same badge as a company with an NZBN.
What it never means
Verified is not an endorsement of quality — that’s what reviews are for, and we show all of them regardless of rating. The badge can’t be bought, and it is the only thing on the platform that wears that shade of green, so it always means the same thing when you see it.
