Why we built JustFindMe

Find anything. Locally. The thinking behind an NZ-only discovery platform that works for the businesses on it, not just the people searching.

JustFindMe started with a simple observation: finding local things in Aotearoa is harder than it should be. The information exists — it’s just scattered, stale, or buried under whoever paid the most to appear first. We wanted one place where you could find anything, locally, and trust what you found.

New Zealand only, on purpose

We’re NZ-only from day one — not as a stepping stone, but as the product. That’s why city names carry their macrons, why prices are in dollars that don’t need converting, and why the categories match how people here actually live. Depth in one country beats shallowness in fifty.

Find anything. Locally.

The platform is a facilitator, not a promiser

Businesses own their listings, their offers and their claims; JustFindMe facilitates discovery. Every listing says who provided its details. Reviews are shown in full — the good and the bad — because a review system you can quietly edit isn’t a review system.

Where the Magazine fits

This magazine exists to do what a search box can’t: give places context. Stories are drafted with AI assistance — disclosed on every piece, this one included — and reviewed by people before publishing. When a story features a business, the listing is embedded right there, live, so reading and finding are the same motion.
